New skill unlocked: Pomping

If you told me before I moved to the South that I will be pomping, Id tell you that pomping is a made up word. While I still believe it is not real, I spent 6 hours this week doing it!

Pomping is the act of rolling thin paper into balls and glueing them onto cardboard to decorate a project, often used for Homecoming and other collegiate events. I pomped for only two hours, finding enjoyment in the act of gluing the balls.

As you can see, I worked on the typography work of our sorority’s float. The creative process involved spacing, placement and tracing shapes. It was a great stress reliever, social event and creative activity.
