We loved our childhood amusement park. We tackled this daunting ride together. I clenched onto him for dear life. I wonder if he thinks about this.

I dreamt I missed a flight.

I was running through an airport that became a mall, with hustling customers and never-ending corridors.

All I wanted was this flight.

I was screaming in people's faces and bothering employees, begging them to point me in the direction of customer service. No one wanted to help.

I am a strong believer that dreams are the window to your subconscious. Following such an intense, long, and confusing dream, I knew I had to do some research.

Many sites list the top cause of a dream like this as "fear of losing something important," and it all came together.

I miss him.

A lot.

Someone I used to be very close to since I was young.

He lives back in Kansas, the ticket's destination in my dream.

I dream about him here and there, but especially when I feel this stress. He was one of the only people that could take away all my stress with one touch. I never knew why or how, and if you asked, he could never tell you. He did all selflessly for my wellbeing.

I hope he is thinking about me, because I think about him. I'll probably dream about him tonight.

I want my ticket to work.

A joetry (a term I coined for the combination of a poem and journey entry that reflects my inner dialogue) from me to you.
